The classification of building materials according to a unique European-valid pattern is in progress
by the indications contained in the EN norms. This system is targeted at allowing
the final users to evaluate the products according to their application field and features, by
reading conformity symbols applied on the packages and in the technical documentation.
According to the European Directive for building products, for the free circulation of
products in the European Community member countries, it is mandatory to apply the CE marking on the packages of the different
building materials as a consequence of the norm implementation by the single countries.
The CE marking is a certified guarantee of the purchased product for the users.
